1. What this site is.
MemeZombie is a small personal site where the operator periodically publishes “dumps” of internet humor (memes) for the purpose of commentary, criticism, cultural observation, and entertainment.
2. Fair use.
Many images here may be subject to third-party copyright. The operator believes the use of these images here qualifies as fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107, considering:
- Purpose: non-commercial-leaning, commentary and criticism, transformative aggregation and recontextualization (a curated “dump” with editorial framing).
- Nature: the source works are widely distributed cultural artifacts already published online.
- Amount: a single low-resolution copy of each meme, no more than necessary for the commentary.
- Market effect: none — memes have no traditional licensing market and aggregation here does not substitute for any source work.
Where fair use does not apply, the site relies on the DMCA safe harbor at 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) and removes infringing material on receipt of a valid notice.
3. Copyright takedown.
If you believe content infringes your copyright, file a notice via the . We respond within 48 hours.
4. Voting and accounts.
Voting is symbolic; counts are non-binding indicators of vibe. There are no comments, replies, threads, DMs, or chat. This is by design (see “Why no comments?”) to keep the site low-conflict.
5. Acceptable use.
Don’t scrape, automate, attempt to cast more than one vote per meme, or attempt to use the email-list-that-doesn’t-get-sold for spamming purposes.
6. Submissions.
Signed-in users can submit memes for the operator to review. By submitting you confirm you have the right to share the image. The operator decides what runs and what doesn't — nothing publishes automatically. We don't credit submitters publicly. The operator may reject submissions for any reason, and may ban submitters and block their connection from future submissions for abuse, copyright violation, or harassment. When a submitter is banned, their account and any memes approved from their submissions are removed.
7. No warranty.
Site provided “as is.” The operator is one tired zombie running this in their spare time and makes no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.
8. Changes.
Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the change.
